What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

You can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and "new patient" paperwork. You will then consult with Dr. Wilson. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions. It is also for Dr. Wilson to express his role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis. An exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. In some cases x-rays or lab work may be ordered to determine an exact diagnosis. Dr. Wilson will go over the results of the exam and x-rays with you. Then, depending on your situation, Dr. Wilson may give you an adjustment and/or begin any special therapy such as Brain Based Therapy, allergy elimination or JMT for arthritis or fibromyalgia. Adjustments on the spine are made with a small hand-held instrument called an Activator. This method of spinal adjusting is so gentle Dr. Wilson has successfully used it for over forty years on two-day-old infants and ninety-nine-year-old grandmas. Depending on your condition, Dr. Wilson may also recommend a treatment plan to correct the underlying cause of your problems.
